“We wish to continue the spirit of the GRAND COMMUNITY premise that we are founded on by lighting and keeping lit the CANDY CANE pole in Hodag Park. We wish to show support for our Frontline Medical personnel and the community in general and that we are all in this together “ President- Shawn Will 

The Candy Cane pole will be lit each and every night until the safer at home order is lifted. We wish for it to be a message of comfort, hope, and remembrance during this time. Event for 2020
December 11th through December 13th, 2020 AND December 17th through December 20th, 2020 (all nights the lights will be on from 5pm to 9pm and collections of food and monetary donations will be taken at the gate). The and the lights will remain on throughout the Holidays 5pm-9pm with limited staffing from Dec. 21st until January 3rd.

NEW this year - FIREWORKS!

While this year has been a difficult year for many due to Covid-19, we thought we could welcome in the New Year with a BANG!
Join us at Hodag Park for a spectacular fireworks show!

Program Partnering
Food Pantry and Donations “At the Door”

This is a free event where food and monetary donations will be collected on site. A portion of the proceeds will stay with Lights of the Northwoods for maintenance and expansion of the displays. The remaining portions of any cash donations will be given to the participating non-profit groups for the evening or to help improve the park for all-year use. 

Lights of the Northwoods would like to partner with any groups that would like to be involved with food drives.

2019 donations totaled 2100 lbs for Rhinelander and an additional 1400 lbs to Elcho and Tomahawk. 

3500 lbs of food collected this year bringing our total to over 11,000 lbs in our three years event history!!!
